JSA, which becomes a general faction rather than a secto of NA2. The JSA will benefit from a more or less partial rework, with additions and reskins (probably mostly what was pre-N3). And there will be a backup group called the Hayabusa Jorikusentai.

N5 arrives in October.
The narrative thread of Infinity will be reworked to bring it up to date with the latest events, including the opening of the wormholes. The one in the foreground will be the Abraxas wormhole, which will lead to a new planet to be colonized, and which will be the scene of a confrontation, with new factions coming in to claim rights. And the first two to clash will be introduced via a battle pack.
The JSA will have a new logo because they don't like it.
About the rules:
- They're keeping the d20
- ARO mechanics
- The whole system won't change
- They'll be polishing the diamond, so they'll certainly be taking into account updates and other upcoming optimizations (some rules will change, as they did with Hyper Dynamique), the aim being to make the game more accessible.
- A big army update to look forward to
The whole way Infinity N5 is sold will change, from packaging and delivery to lore and monthly releases. The aim is to be more efficient in serving all faction customers, so that they don't have to wait too long.
Q/A (reported from the discords who saw the stream from facebook and videos)
- The return of the Meros would be confirmed.
- Still no info on the return of the tohaa
- In QA, Bostria talked about the ISS.
- The N5 seems to be a kick-off for reorganizing everything, updating and optimizing armies, etc.
- The seminar ended without any discussion of TAG's mode, nor was the 3rd Big Thing silhouette unveiled.
- Code One will disappear, to be replaced by N5, with an "essential" product range designed to provide a business logic comparable to C1. There should be a quick rule book like before.
- The factions will see their packaging and the way they are sold changed very significantly, so there will be a lot of last chance to give rise to a new sales optic, which may include fig fonts and heavy modification of troop choices a priori.
- Guided missiles will be revised.
- There's going to be something around vehicles and they're going to have their own unit class.
- CC and Martial Arts will be overhauled.
- Reinforcement mode will be overhauled.
- There will be two sectors, one with the forces we know, the other to represent the forces in charge of defending the new Japanese territory (Shindenbutai).
- Unicool will be part of their regular catalog and releases, but it won't supplant Siocast and metal.
- Season 2 of infinity paradise lost could involve panoceania through a mirage 5 team. He also quipped about a potential pitch for the Third Offensive.
- There would be no store release for Kassad, so it wouldn't be playable as such (but I'm not sure what he meant, so I'll have to check).
- More advanced rules could also come later, so in October we wouldn't have the whole N5 set (maybe it'll be a bit like the fireteam rules that came separately during N4, we could think of the vehicle rules set arriving at a later date with the first miniature releases).
- ONYX will concentrate more on its Morat base.
- The Sybille AI will be improved, which is probably the future of the wiki.
- The NA2 may not be immediately present when the N5 is released, but it should come back as the commercial release progresses.
- There will be a lot of armies that won't reappear at launch, but there's no given timetable for their reappearance due to their sheer number.
- There will be a lot of profile changes.
- Bostria has said that they will be bringing back old armies.
- The factions' commercial distribution model will be more condensed and rapid.
- Guided missiles will be revised to appeal to both those who launch them and those who receive them.
- There will still be a limit of 15 troops, as at present.
- Vehicles will be a new category in N5.
- CC combat will be heavily modified and critics will be more effective. The advantages of CC and non-CC experts will be more obvious, so this should be seen as a stronger and more obvious typification of each profile.
- Reinforcement mode will be more directly integrated into N5.
- The combined army will also be reworked, with a focus on ONYX.
- The cards were for Gencon only, and were more user-friendly for beginners at the demo.
- There are some rule changes such as attributes with vitality.
- The vanilla jsa will be allowed to have a few fireteams outside the duo.
- The JSA will have its own remotes and will no longer share anything with Yu Jing.
From the blog post:
https://infinitytheuniverse.com/blog/infinity-summer-2024
- The big news in this edition is that the plot moves forward 5 years.
- During this journey, JSA betrays PanO and claims this new planet, naming it Shinju, as its own. With this decision, JSA will no longer be part of the NA-2 conglomerate and will become a major faction in its own right.
- And that's not all! The JSA will come with two sector armies: Ōban, which is essentially the JSA we now know in N4, and Shindenbutai, with new troops closely linked to the new planet they are to defend.
- And we've heard your questions, so let's make this clear: CodeOne will not continue with the N5 release. But don't worry, we've got something even better!
- Introducing Infinity Essentials, a new way to dive into the game that captures the spirit of CodeOne. This closed product range includes the basics of each army, making it easy for new players and retailers to know where to start. Each Essentials box comes with a handy guide to take new players through the adventure of Infinity N5. And yes, those great profile cards you saw at the Gen Con demos will be included in the Essentials boxes! We'll keep you posted on the availability of these entry-level products.
